Distract TV’s Stephen Stallone catches up with Singer Scott G backstage at Woodstoke festival, Hackney London. Scott reveals the story behind his pet budgie and among other things his inspiration Tina Turner and his love for the new drink in town Vita Coco.
Distract TV has had a crazy, crazy year! The distract team has packed cameras, interview cards and cheap bottles of red wine into rucksacks and travelled to festivals as far as Serbia’s Exit Festival and Way Out West in Sweden – the land of beautiful people! We have been to the best fashion show’s the world has known and discovered that the chances are slimmer (literally) than we thought of us ever being supermodels! We have covered some of the most cutting edge Burlesque shows in New York and interviewed up and coming bands that are now just Up! With these mid year resolution thoughts in mind, we have put together our favourite highlights of the year so far.
After a very unfortunate and none too manly accident roller skating at a roller derby, Steve was left to interview dance DJ supremo Mr. Hudson with two broken legs and a set of borrowed crutches. Mr Hudson (now hop-a-long Hudson) did some borrowing of his own running off mid-interview with said crutches. Bemused Steve can only laugh in camera!
After creeping up behind a well known performer backstage at Way Out West Festival, cameraman Al Langford discovered a very well known performer playing partypokeron his laptop. After some bad advice lead to a lost hand, the talent challenged Al to a one off hand game of Texas. 5 minutes later Distract had a topless cameraman! Priceless!
